BALANSA CLOVER
Balansa seed is small and economical. Although it may be more expensive per pound compared to other annual clovers, it is cheaper on a per acre basis. We recommend 5-8 lbs as a mono-culture or 3-5 lbs/acre in a mix.

CRIMSON CLOVER
A much larger clover seed, crimson clover will be seeded as a mono-culture 15-18 lbs/acre drilled, or 25-30 lbs/ acre broadcast. In a mix, 10-12 lbs/acre drilled 15-20 lbs/ acre broadcast.

WHITE CLOVER
We recommend no more than 5-8 lbs as a mono-culture or 3-5 lbs/acre in a mix. A smaller seeding rate may be necessary due to white clover’s tendency to sequester water and nutrients from surrounding plants.

BERSEEM CLOVER
Berseem clover has a medium sized seed and should be seeded as a mono-culture at 8-10 lbs/acre drilled, 25 lbs/acre broadcast. In mixes 8-10 lbs/acre drilled and 12-16 lbs broadcast. These rates will vary depending on what is included in the mix.
