EXTENSION PLOTS IN LOUISIANA – Breaux Bridge/LA

EXTENSION PLOTS IN LOUISIANA

Attached are pictures of the FIXatioN Balansa from one of the plots that I put out. I found overall that the FIXatioN Balansa has struggled. It is finally starting to flower and put on growth in the last couple of weeks. IN Feb. and March FIXatioN seemed to have issues with either mites or thrips attacking the leaves and stunting the plants. I saw some similar type of damage in the white clover, but the damage did not seem to limit the growth of the white clover. I took the attached pictures of the Balansa yesterday. The plants seem to be growing out of the damage.’ Stuart Gauthier, County Agent St. Martin Parish.
